I enjoy helping clients that come to see me for services. As a therapist, my role is to be non-judgmental and to help you work through any thoughts, feelings or behaviors that may affect your mental and emotional well-being. My commitment to the field is a result of witnessing people experience emotional suffering and/or falling short of their true potential because of unfortunate reasons. My goal is to help clients achieve a greater sense of control over their lives.

I have several years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances. In my role as therapist, I worked with the Juvenile Assessment Center in Detroit, MI providing services to children, adolescents, parents and families who were at risk of being abused, or experienced family violence/maltreatment. In addition to my experience at the Juvenile Assessment Center, I worked with the Detroit Police Victims Assistance Program where I provided therapeutic services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and individuals who experienced the death of a loved one. My professional experience also includes working for a mental health agency in Cuyahoga County, providing a range of mental health services to adult clients.

My Training

I am currently a clinical candidate at the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center where I receive training in psychoanalysis. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work at Wayne State University where I specialized in interpersonal practice with an emphasis in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Detroit Mercy with a specific interest in urban issues and social environment.
